Active HUMAN practitioners are full body qualified in Active Release Techniques. Certified in Upper limbs, Lower limbs, and Spine protocols.
What is Active Release Techniques?
ART is a patented, state-of-the-art movement based massage system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common – they are often result from injury to over used muscles.
Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses their hands to evaluate the texture, tightness, and movement of the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.
These treatment protocols – over 500 of them – are unique to ART. They allow the providers to identify and correct the specific problems that affect each individual patient. ART is not a cookie cutter approach. Each course of therapy is individually designed to resolve the patients problems.
Why haven’t I heard of it?
While highly popular in the USA and Canada, only a limited number of therapists in Australia are qualified as ART practitioners.
How long does an ART treatment go for?
Due to the Active Release Techniques specificity, the treatment is very fast and effective. Compared to a massage that would usually go for an hour, and ART session is usually completed in as little as 15min. Combined with an assessment before the treatment and advice of exercises or stretches as homework, Active Human practitioners prefer to have the treatment go for a full 30min.
Is ART right for my situtaion?
Active Release Technique is a treatment type that, when used effectively, delivers near instant results. Within 3 sessions ART practitioners can usually cure soft-tissue issues – even some that other health practitioners and doctors might tell you are incurable!
ART has been known to effectively treat the following issues:
– Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) – not uncommon with those who spend long hours in front of a computer and often (inaccurately) believed incurable.
– Headaches
– Back pain
– Nerve entrapment
– Shin splints
– Tendinitis
– Sciatica
– Plantar Fasciitis
– Tendinitis
– Many joint issues
– And more!
It sounds like we’re raving about it but good ART practitioners are able to solve approximately 90% of all the issues their clients bring to them!
If you have already received advice from friends or practitioners, and they suggest surgery. I urge you to try ART before any radical evasive procedures.
